IKEA
There is no other place quite like IKEA. IKEA is an acronym comprising the initials of the founder's name (Ingvar Kamprad), the farm where he grew up (Elmtaryd), and his home county (Agunnaryd, in Småland, South Sweden).Every time I go, I find something new or undiscovered. After researching Marimekko or Marimekko-like fabrics on the web, I went to see some patterns I had found there. Of course, I got some of the desired fabrics and I picked up a few other things I couldn't resist. What a delightful, satisfying, refreshing adventure!

Judith Viorst Comes to Claremont
On Thursday, March 5, at 7 p.m., you have the opportunity to hear award-winning author and journalist Judith Viorst talk about "Celebrating the Next Chapter of Your Life." The event will be held at the Laemmle Theater, with a reception to follow at the Packing House. Huntley Bookstore will have some of her books there for purchase. The Claremont Community Foundation invites you to become a part of a wonderful Claremont tradition that embodies the true meaning of "community" -- people from all walks of life coming together, getting to know each other better, and working cooperatively to keep our community strong and healthy. We are pleased to offer our thirteenth annual series of hosted special events. There is something for everyone here, from the youngest child to the seniors among us.
